Membership Details

Your health benefits through your insurance plan may earn you a complimentary membership here at the Sports Mall. These Senior memberships include free access to all “non-fee” group fitness classes and full use of all club facilities (excluding tennis courts – which can be added for an additional fee).

Our outstanding senior program offers classes for all ages and fitness levels including “SilverSneakers Strength” and “Silver Sneakers Yoga” classes as well as Cardio classes designed especially for the 55 plus population.

Senior Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga (mat): Traditional postures with mindful breathing and physical awareness.

NTL (Never 2 Late) Cardio Plus: A variety of fun and effective multi-level classes designed for the active older adult with safe and effective, yet challenging exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, balance, coordination, agility and flexibility. A variety of equipment will be used.

  • You do not have to be a senior to enjoy both fitness and fun in our NTL classes.
  • All senior classes taught by certified instructors with additional older adult training.

Qigong: An exercise in breath regulation. Come increase your energy and reduce your stress with a meditative and mindful movement practice. This class includes: warm up, stretches, and flows within the ease of breath.

SilverSneakers Classic: Multi-level group exercise for the older adult, regardless of fitness or skill level, those who are active, sedentary, or unfamiliar with exercise. Enjoy a fun, positive social environment with a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are offered for resistance; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers Yoga: Move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Splash/Senior Aqua Fitness: A fun and effective no joint stress water program designed especially for the 55+ population. Work as hard or easy as you want or need. You will be amazed at the results. Non-swimmers welcome.

Tai-Chi: An ancient Chinese tradition that today is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
